Arrests made in home invasions

As the result of a continuing investigation, the Warren County Sheriff's Office has made several arrests in connection with recent home invasions in several areas of the county.

Sheriff Johnny Williams said previously that the individuals responsible, often wearing masks and hoods, and sometimes carrying guns and knives, appeared to be robbing their victims to obtain money.

The following were recently arrested:

-- Steven Harris, 30, of Claiborne Rd. off Drewry-Virginia Line Rd., Drewry, charged with two counts of felony accessory after the fact. Harris was released on a written promise to appear in court.

-- Telmondin Green, 32, of Leroy Green Rd., Norlina, charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony breaking and entering. Green was placed in the Warren County Detention Center under $25,000 secured bond.

-- Brian Hargrove, 18, of Grand Ave., Norlina, charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony breaking and entering. Hargrove was placed in the Warren County Detention Center under $3,000 secured bond.

-- Rasheed Kearney, 23, of Greenwood Blvd., Warrenton, charged with felony robbery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a firearm by a felon. Kearney was placed in the Warren County Detention Center under $25,000 bond.

Williams said that additional arrests are pending, and the investigation is continuing.

" wll let me kick this one off.......i sure hope our high sheriff isn't claiming any responsibility for the investigation or arrests. i'm sure he had nothing to do with it. give the credit to the detectives on the case OR whoever ratted on these criminals. "

" What difference does it make. Four criminals were booked for doing something that they had no business doing. Where you a part of the group and just didn't get caught???????????? "

" It doesn't really matter. The good work by the sheriffs Dept and the WPD will be offset by the DA, who will 'Voluntarily Dismiss' most of these charges. "
